Participation in this programme will give you a good overview of the structures and aims of a range of educational philosophies, to support your development as an educator/mentor. 

If you are new to education and mentoring roles in your practice setting, or have been teaching for a while in further or higher education this course offers you:

Time to reflect on who you are as an educator and 

What the purpose of education is in your setting.

Developing successful professional relationships 

 

 

Participation in this programme will enable you to 

Clearly identify your purpose, responsibilities and roles in the context of the work environment, 

Recognise your capacity to meet the needs of your clients, students or colleagues, and,

Contract with them to work more effectively together. 

We will cover Transactional Analysis contracting tools and theory, the Winners Triangle, the Drama Triangle.

3 hour programme

Solution Focused Supervision- developing your skills as a supervisor and supervisee 

 

Participation in this programme will enable you to undertand and use methods of giving practical feedback the supervisee can act on.

You will also better understand your own responses to feedback and identify times when you have discounted information that could be useful in finding solutions to problems.

Theories and practice of Teaching and Learning

 

Participation in this programme will give you an in-depth knowledge of models and approaches to teaching and learning, and, to support students take ownership of their own learning .

This programme would also be beneficial for those with a supervisor role or responsibilities for staff training and development.
